KickAss 12V and dual-battery systems, fitted in Adelaide
KickAss Products is an Australian 12V and 4WD power brand: dual-battery systems, DC-DC chargers, lithium batteries, battery boxes, solar and inverters, built for touring and hard work. We are an installer for KickAss, so we supply the genuine gear and, more importantly, wire it into your vehicle properly, fused, mounted and finished, rather than leaving you with a box of parts and a wiring diagram.
A 12V system is only as good as the install. Done right, your fridge, lights, inverter and devices run all weekend off the auxiliary battery and the crank battery always starts the vehicle. Done wrong, it is a flat battery at best and a wiring fire at worst. That is why it is worth having it fitted and set up by the same workshop that services and tunes the vehicle.
The KickAss range we supply and fit
The gear we install most, matched to how you actually camp, tour and work. Every system is wired in and set up at our Lonsdale workshop, not mailed out in a box. Ask us for a quote on your vehicle.

Dual Battery Systems
Complete dual-battery kits for touring and work.
A second battery, DC-DC charger and wiring installed so your fridge, lights and gear run without ever flattening the crank battery.

DC-DC Chargers
In-vehicle charging that looks after your batteries.
Charges your auxiliary battery properly from the alternator, with an MPPT solar input as well, wired in and fused at the workshop.

Lithium Batteries
Lightweight LiFePO4 deep-cycle power.
More usable capacity and far less weight than AGM, for longer off-grid stays. Supplied and set up to suit your vehicle and load.

Battery Boxes & Power Stations
Portable and in-vehicle power, ready to run.
Battery boxes and lithium power stations for the canopy or the campsite, ready to run a fridge, lights and devices off-grid.

Solar Panels & Blankets
Keep the batteries topped up off-grid.
Fixed panels and folding solar blankets sized and wired for your rig, so you stay out longer without a flat auxiliary battery.

Inverters
240V power on the move.
Pure power for tools, a fridge or appliances away from mains, matched to your battery and wired in safely, not run off a cheap plug-in unit.
Power for your touring and canopy setup
A dual-battery and 12V setup is part of a bigger touring build, and doing it with the workshop that also fits the rest means it all works together. A ute canopy is the natural home for the second battery, fridge and solar, so we can build the canopy and wire the power in at the same time.
That gear adds touring weight, which is where 4x4 suspension and a 4x4 diesel tune come in, so the loaded 4WD still tows, carries and drives the way it should. Tell us how you use the vehicle and we will set the whole rig up as one.

Get your KickAss setup quoted
The right setup depends on how you tour: how long you stay off-grid, what you run, and whether it lives in a canopy, a tub or a wagon. Rather than a fixed menu, we spec and quote the system to your vehicle and how you use it. Free loan cars are included while your vehicle is in, so a day in the workshop is not a day off the road.
KickAss install FAQs
Yes. We are an installer for KickAss Products, so we supply the genuine 12V and dual-battery gear and wire it into your vehicle properly, fused and tidy, rather than handing you a box to sort out yourself. It is done and set up at our Lonsdale workshop.
Yes. A dual battery system is our core KickAss job: a second battery, a DC-DC charger and the wiring, installed so your fridge, lights and camping gear run off the auxiliary battery and never flatten the one that starts the vehicle.
We install it. The value is in the fitment: batteries mounted, a DC-DC charger wired to the alternator and solar, fused and finished properly. A 12V system wired in wrong is a fire risk, so it is worth having it done right.
It depends on how you use it. Lithium (LiFePO4) gives more usable capacity and much less weight, which suits longer off-grid touring. AGM is a lower up-front cost. Tell us how you camp and tour and we will spec the right battery.
Yes. Solar panels or a folding solar blanket keep the batteries topped up off-grid, and we can wire in a 12V fridge and outlets at the same time, all matched to the battery and charger so the whole setup works as one.
Utes, wagons and 4WDs, especially touring setups with a canopy or drawers. We fit and wire the whole system at our Lonsdale workshop and service southern Adelaide, from Hallett Cove and Sheidow Park down to Seaford.
